WHY HEROES

“We cannot solve problems using the same kind of thinking we used to create them”.

A.Einstein

In the last few years an explosion in psychological research and neuroscience has been revealing more and more about the functioning of our minds: as a result we are witnessing a radical shift in consciousness.

A few decades ago it was impossible to imagine that one of the largest companies in the world such as Google would invest in a multi-million dollar Mindfulness Center to get their engineers to meditate during working hours. Likewise, the Navy SEALS, the most selected military corp in the US - where the basic training for a new recruit alone costs over 500,000$ - have created a Mind Gym, equipped with the finest tools and technologies to support mind exercises which - until a few years ago - were relegated solely to the perimeter of ancient spiritual or religious practices.

Heroes Training uniquely combines the best from different worlds: from mindfulness to energy movement, from leadership to peak performance psychology and states of flow, from team building to story-telling, in order to open up a special doorway to a deeper state of mind where transformation can happen faster.

Among the objectives of Heroes Training's approach is that of creating peak experiences and getting the subjects familiar with their peak states of consciousness thus enabling them to gain access to those in ordinary life. In fact, longitudinal research among adults in general, as well as studies specific to athletes and managers have left little room for doubt to this day: individuals who access these states more often in life, tend to be better performers in sports and work, they come closer to a self-actualized and fulfilled life and are also more likely to make empathetic decisions.

Thousands of participants have attended sessions in United States, China, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Philippines and Europe benefiting from this unique Heroes practice both in group and individual sessions, or with full coaching packages and they've been able to introduce radical changes in their lives.

In Heroes Training, participants are put through highly experiential journeys or adventures, carefully designed from soundtracks to exercises and explanations, to involve the mind-body connection and positively influence both the conscious and the unconscious mind.

The analytical mind, the rational or so-called ‘conscious mind’ in fact is only a portion of the entire psyche, just like the tip of an iceberg. While most development tools in the market utilize dialogue, measurement and analysis, a much more powerful force is responsible for governing our emotions, thinking patterns and behaviors, and it lies at the level of what in western psychology is called ‘the unconscious mind’.

Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung, founder of analytical psychology and one of the most prominent figures in investigating the unconscious mind said that “the contents of the collective unconscious are archetypes. Primordial images that reflect basic patterns that are common to us all and which have existed universally since the dawn of time”.

Heroes Training is a unique training program designed around carefully selected archetypes or metaphors - such is the Hero - for the unconscious mind.

In addition, the adventure is emotionally impacting so to strengthen the bonds of interpersonal relationships much beyond a traditional team building activity. During individual work instead, the process encourages self-discovery and emotional mastery, which also bear a positive impact on relationships.

Heroes Training is the result of many years of study and practice. It is a unique combination of eastern and western philosophies, a holistic approach that involves conscious and subconscious, mind and body, action and reflection, energy and matter.
